The informative Meeting on the Financial Crisis in Europe, took place on 3 December, 2008 at the ICiB, attended by an interested audience. Peter Praet (Executive Director, National Bank of Belgium) initiated a lively discussion about the reasons and the consequences of the current global financial crisis both at the European and international level. The debate was enlivened by the questions, remarks and comments of the participants, as well as by the discussion about the Turkish financial situation in the context of the global crisis.
