Open Days 2008 – The European Capitals of Culture Reception

The reception of European Capitals of Culture took place at the ICiB on 7 October within the framework of Open Days 2008 European Week of Regions and Cities jointly organized by the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission. The reception was attended by over 250 guests including representative of the host ECOC cities, namely Stavanger, Liverpool, Upper Austria, Vilnius, Istanbul, Pecs, Tallinn and Turku. Guests from present and future ECOC cities and candidate cities were joined by representatives from the Commission, Committee of the Regions, EU member states, and other individuals from the business, academic and NGO circles.
