Istanbul Diptychs: Contemporary Visual and Verbal Positions
On 2 December 2008, Istanbul Centre in Brussels opened an exhibition which introduces contemporary artists both from Turkey and EU with their paintings, drawings, photography, video and installations, with the aim of displaying their views and perceptions as regards the city of Istanbul, along with their individual selections of prose and poems of famous intellectuals from Turkey, or with their own statements. The exhibition will run until late March, 2009.
This exhibition has been curated by Mrs. Beral Madra who is an internationally renowned Turkish art critic and curator.
The participant artists are as follows:
