Helva
Helva comes from the Arabic word, meaning “sweet”, and it is used to describe many distinct types of sweet confectionery across the Middle East. Helva based on semolina is popular in Turkey. Helva may also be made from a variety of other ingredients, including sunflower seeds, nuts, beans, lentils, and vegetables—such as carrots, pumpkins, yams, and squashes.
